Impossible Animals Hybrid Tier List

Impossible Animals hybrids ranked on one declared metric: the $/s pen income shown on the fusion result screen. Recorded tiers from the October 3, 2026 update, the controls that keep the comparison fair, and why battle ability stays unranked.

Stegosawasp — a Stegosaurus fused with a Wasp — is the strongest standard pen earner on record in Impossible Animals: a 10-star result paying $410/s. Jerbosaurus (Ankylosaurus + Jerboa) is next at 10 stars and $293/s, and Antowl (Ant + Owl) at 9 stars and $133/s is the easiest top pick to trust, because two different players fused that pair in opposite pick orders and got the identical hybrid. If you want a top earner without relying on luck, these are the pairs the evidence supports.

This page ranks hybrids on one declared metric: the in-game $/s income shown on the fusion result screen, which decides how fast a hybrid earns in your pen. That figure is not real money and it is not a battle rating. The ranking draws on the 72-result fusion record checked 2026-10-09 against the October 3, 2026 update. Every row was read from a result screen in a gameplay video, nothing is predicted or copied from other lists, and a pair missing from the table has simply not been shown on video yet — it has not been judged weak. Battle ability is deliberately left unranked, and the section below explains why.

How the tiers are built

Standard fusion results are predictable, and that is what makes a tier list possible. The standard result looks fixed for each pair — the only randomness is whether the pair rolls a Shiny version (Golden, Diamond or Iridescent) with more stars and more income. The record's repeats back this up: Tankwasp fused again a minute later gave the same result, one pair produced a standard Dragowl twice in the same video, and the Tank + Skeleton and Tank + Cowboy pairs matched across two different players. Pick order has not changed a result in the records — Ant + Owl and Owl + Ant both produced the same 9-star, $133/s Antowl. In short, what somebody else got from a pair is what you should expect too, so one clearly read standard result is enough to rank it.

Three rules keep the comparison fair:

  • One metric. Tiers are ordered by the result screen's $/s income. Stars serve as a cross-check, because income climbs with star count in consistent bands (table below).
  • No training confounder. Levels are separate from income: one recorded hybrid went from Lv. 1 to Lv. 506 on the treadmill and its card still showed 10 stars and $429/s. Training does not raise the listed income these tiers compare.
  • No Shiny mixing. Shiny rolls are a bonus with unknown odds, so tiers use standard numbers only, and pairs seen only as a Shiny stay off the scale.

The star-band cross-check

Across the standard results on record, income climbs with the star count in these bands — handy for sanity-checking any result screen:

The low earners are listed here by their parent pairs. Every row in tiers 1–3 is a standard result, so no lucky Shiny roll is needed to obtain any of them — these are the highest-earning standard results seen on a result screen, meaning the top of the 72-row record.

Wasp is the parent to look for: it appears in five of the ten best standard results. At the other end, the criterion separates cleanly. Tank + Wasp reaches 8 stars and $82/s, but Tank + Venus Fly Trap is a 3-star hybrid earning $1/s, and Tank + Giraffe only manages 4 stars and $3/s. Stegosaurus is even more extreme: with Wasp it makes the best hybrid on record, with Orangutan a 3-star earning $1/s. Check the pair, not the animal. Ordinary play matches the low end: in one video, a fresh cheetah + T-Rex fusion earned its creator $3, another fusion earned $1, and a 5-star Venus-flytrap dolphin was kept around mainly to earn money for the player.

Double Fusion is its own category, not a standard row. Two already-fused hybrids are combined again, the result lists four original parents, and it cost 1 Fusion Token in the recorded clip. Both recorded Double Fusions rolled Shiny and sit above the standard scale: Stegosebungray (Iridescent) at 12 stars and $1.54K/s, Venusflylytrex (Golden) at 10 stars and $429/s. Even so, this is the best recorded, not the game's ceiling — Impossible Animals' own Roblox thumbnail shows a 35-star hybrid.

Why battle ability is not ranked

No source in the record documents a battle rating, and the income figure is explicitly not one. Combat strength is also trainable per unit, which would confound any hybrid-vs-hybrid ordering: in one session, treadmill running raised a hybrid to level 22 that dealt 12 damage and was soon "eliminating everyone", the treadmill itself was upgraded to level three and health visibly increased, charms priced $100 and $5,000 were fitted, a power boost was added, and an Ember spell "increases training level". A hybrid that looks stronger in a fight may simply be a better-trained one.

Qualitative battle reports do loosely track stars. A golden 9★ Venus-flytrap T-Rex made fighting "a breeze" (though its HP still dropped), and the 10★ Double Fusion cleared the first battle stage easily, while a 4★ tank-cowboy was called "a weak character" and a skeletmonkey "turned out a bit weak". That supports one honest caution — low-star fusions start weak — but not combat tiers. For fighting, training matters more than this table; see the Impossible Animals battle guide and the page on how to train hybrids.

What stays off the scale

  • Shiny-only pairs. Venus Fly Trap + T-Rex is on record only as a Golden Venusflytrex (9★, $192/s), and Gorilla + Dragonfly only as a Golden Dragorilla (7★, $45/s). Their standard versions have never been recorded, and a Shiny out-earns its standard: Owl + Dragonfly shows the gap, with the standard Dragowl at 6★ $16/s and the Golden roll in the same video at 8★ $73/s. Expect less than the Shiny number when you fuse these pairs yourself, and do not rank them against standard rows. Shiny odds are unknown — treat a Shiny as a bonus and plan around the standard numbers; the shiny hybrids page covers rolls in detail.
  • Pairs never shown on video. The 72-row record covers what has been filmed as of the October 3, 2026 update. An absent pair is unrecorded, not weak.

What training changes (and what it doesn't)

Income is fixed at fusion. A hybrid you level on the treadmill earns the same listed $/s as a fresh one — the Lv. 1 to Lv. 506 example kept its 10 stars and $429/s throughout. Treadmill training is confirmed not to move the listed income; whether charms or power boosts affect pen income is not documented. Levels do change fighting power, which is exactly why battle stays out of this ranking.

Putting the tiers to use

Pick a pair from the table, fuse it — the fusion guide walks through the steps — and the result appears immediately with its stars and $/s. Because the same pair gives the same standard result every time, the number on that screen is the number you keep. For the most-reproduced top pick, Ant + Owl has been confirmed by two players at 9★ $133/s; for the highest standard earner recorded, go for Stegosaurus + Wasp at $410/s. Every recorded hybrid is identified by parents and name on the hybrids list, and the full 72-row, best-to-worst table — including the mid-range rows between these highlights — is maintained on the fusion combinations page. The best fusions page approaches pair-picking from the other direction: which pairs are easiest to make. If pen income is your goal, these tiers are the earning half of the picture; the money guide covers the rest. And if an update changes hybrid stats or adds results, expect placements to move — this list reflects the October 3, 2026 update.
