How to Make Money Fast in Impossible Animals (Tested Pairs)
Tested fusion pairs and setup choices that raise your income in Impossible Animals, with recorded $/s results and the trade-offs of each money route.
The tested way to earn money faster in Impossible Animals is choosing fusion pairs by their recorded income instead of by how impressive the parents look. In a recording that starts on a brand-new account, the player's first fusion — Red Panda + Giraffe — produced Redpaffe, a 6-star hybrid earning $15/s. Their next attempt, Warthog + Venus Fly Trap, produced a 3-star Venusflyrthog earning $2/s. Same account, same session: pair choice alone was worth several times more income per second. The strongest standard result on record is Stegosaurus + Wasp, which produces Stegosawasp — 10 stars, $410/s.
A quick note on what "fast" means here. Every figure in this guide is a hybrid's $/s — the in-game cash it earns each second while it sits in your pen (it is not real money, and it is not a battle rating) — read from recorded fusion result screens. No source times total earnings over a fixed window, so this is not a verified money-per-hour ranking; the comparisons are between hybrids, which is exactly the decision you make at the fusion screen. If you want the currency basics themselves, the Impossible Animals money guide covers them — this page is about raising the rate.
The repeatable route: fuse, check the screen, save
Fusion is the core loop of Impossible Animals, and it doubles as the income method because a saved hybrid starts earning the moment it lands in your pen — saving it is the payout step, with nothing to turn in or claim afterwards.
- Get two parents. A brand-new account's picker already contains Red Panda + Giraffe, the best documented opening pair. Rescuing animals in The Wild and collecting and hatching eggs are the official ways to keep adding parents.
- Pick the pair, not the animal. Decide which pair you are aiming for before fusing — the table below beats guessing, because the same parent can anchor the best or nearly the worst result on record.
- Read the result screen before you commit. It shows the hybrid's name, both parents, a star count and its income in $/s. A label such as "Golden Shiny" above the stars means you rolled a rare version.
- Save Hybrid. This sends the hybrid to your pen, where it starts earning immediately.
- Fuse again. "New Fusion" returns you to the picker; "Explore World" closes the screen.
The loop is documented repeating within a single recorded session: after saving an owl + dragonfly fusion that rolled Golden Shiny at $73/s, the player immediately re-selected the same owl and the same dragonfly and fused again — the retry produced the standard Dragowl at $16/s. The input the loop consumes is animals, and rescues and eggs are the documented way to replace them.
The pairs with the highest recorded income
These are the best standard (non-Shiny) results recorded on fusion result screens — no lucky Shiny roll is needed to get them:
| Parents | Hybrid | Stars | Income |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stegosaurus + Wasp | Stegosawasp | 10 | $410/s |
| Ankylosaurus + Jerboa | Jerbosaurus | 10 | $293/s |
| Ant + Owl | Antowl | 9 | $133/s |
| Orangutan + Cowboy | Oranguwboy | 9 | $108/s |
| Wasp + Fox | Foxwasp | 9 | $106/s |
| Tank + Wasp | Tankwasp | 8 | $82/s |
| Wasp + Millipede | Waspede | 8 | $75/s |
| Cowboy + Spider | Cowbider | 7 | $42/s |
| Wasp + Orangutan | Oranguwasp | 7 | $38/s |
| Tank + Skeleton | Skeletank | 7 | $35/s |
How to read it:
- Wasp is the parent to look for. It appears in five of the ten best results.
- Ant + Owl is the easiest to trust. Two different players fused that pair — one picking Ant first, the other Owl first — and both got the same 9-star Antowl at $133/s. Parent order made no difference in any comparable pair on record.
- These are records, not the ceiling. The official Roblox thumbnail shows a 35-star hybrid, and a pair missing from the record only means nobody has shown that fusion on video yet. Pair-by-pair records are collected on the Impossible Animals best fusions page.
The result screen lets you judge before saving
Because the star count is shown before you commit, and income climbs with stars in documented bands, you can price a roll before building your pen around it:
| Stars | Recorded income range |
|---|---|
| 3 | $1–2/s |
| 4 | $3–5/s |
| 5 | $7–9/s |
| 6 | $10–18/s |
| 7 | $27–42/s |
| 8 | $75–82/s |
| 9 | $106–133/s |
| 10 | $293–410/s |
A 3-star result is a $1–2/s earner no matter how good the parents looked; a 9-star roll means $106–133/s on record. That comparison is the save-or-discard call the screen exists for.
What each attempt costs
- Two animals, permanently. Fusing merges your two parents into one hybrid, so every attempt spends both — a bad pair is the method's main offsetting cost. Tank + Wasp makes an 8-star Tankwasp at $82/s, but Tank + Venus Fly Trap makes a 3-star earning $1/s, and Tank + Giraffe only 4 stars at $3/s. Stegosaurus is starker still: with Wasp it makes the best hybrid on record, with Orangutan a 3-star earning $1/s. Check the pair, not the animal.
- Shiny luck is not a plan. A pair can occasionally roll a Golden, Diamond or Iridescent Shiny with more stars and income than the standard result — Owl + Dragonfly produced a standard 6-star Dragowl at $16/s and a Golden Shiny at 8 stars and $73/s in the same video. The odds are unknown, so treat a Shiny as a bonus and plan around standard numbers; where a pair's only recorded result is a Shiny, expect less than that number. More on the shiny hybrids page.
- Selling is cleanup, not income. Weak fusions can be sold — one recorded player sold four cheap hybrids, with $3, $3 and $5 among them — but no general payout rate is documented, and one co-player's warning applies: don't sell everything, "otherwise nothing will be left." Every animal is potential fusion material.
Scaling the rate: pen space and Double Fusion
The documented scaling lever is capacity. The game's How to Play lists "upgrade your pen and treadmill to grow your collection," and since every hybrid earns its $/s while it sits in the pen, holding more earners is what raises the total. Per-level upgrade costs and the number of extra hybrids each level holds are not documented, so weigh pen upgrades against how full your pen actually is rather than against a payback table.
The higher-ceiling action is Double Fusion — merging two saved hybrids into a stronger one. Recorded results top every table: Stegosebungray, an Iridescent Shiny at 12 stars and $1.54K/s, and Venusflylytrex, a Golden Shiny at 10 stars and $429/s. Each recorded merge cost 1 Fusion Token, and no documented way to obtain Fusion Tokens — drop, purchase, or reward — has been recorded, so this route cannot be planned end-to-end yet.
There is also a paid shortcut listed in the Roblox store: a 2x Money gamepass for R$ 399, alongside 2x Egg Growth Speed at R$ 467. The listing documents the name and price only — nothing tests what the multiplier applies to — so do not budget it as a doubling of pen income.
Where time does not pay
Treadmill training raises levels, not income. One recorded hybrid went from Lv. 1 to Lv. 506 on the treadmill and its card still showed 10 stars and $429/s. Training's documented payoff is combat — a Lv. 22 hybrid dealt 12 damage in a fight — and it costs active time, since the pet will not run on the treadmill unless you run with it. Its income value is indirect only: Wild progress leads to rescues, and rescues supply parents. The training route itself is covered on the how to train hybrids page.
Compare it against your pen
Before your next fusion, put this route against what you have: which pairs in your picker are documented earners, how full your pen is against its capacity, and whether your next spend goes further on an upgrade that adds earner slots. If you are starting from scratch, the beginner guide covers the first steps — and if a code boost is currently available, the Codes page tracks it. The fusion loop above is the part that repeats regardless.
