How to Get Eggs in Impossible Animals

Eggs are stage rewards in Impossible Animals' combat zone, The Wild. The verified route: fuse a hybrid, beat a stage, take the egg, place it in a pen slot and hatch a hybrid.

You get eggs in Impossible Animals by fighting. The confirmed egg source is the game's combat zone — officially called The Wild, and called "the jungle" in gameplay videos — where eggs appear as stage rewards. The full route: fuse a hybrid, take it into the Wild, beat a stage, take the egg from your reward, place it in a free pen slot, and watch the hatch timer open it into a ready-made hybrid.

The official description confirms this as a core loop — "🥚 Collect and hatch eggs to discover rare hybrids," listed right beside "⚔️ Battle through The Wild and rescue new animals to fuse." Don't look for an egg shop: in the recorded gameplay, the interactable shops sold upgrades, camouflage, charms and spells, never eggs. That's what the recordings show, not a guarantee the game never adds other sources — but today, fighting is the route that works.

How the egg reward works

Every stage you clear in the Wild pays one reward — "Basically, if we beat a stage, we get one reward." The recordings show the reward arriving in two forms:

  • A choice of three options. One player was offered a creature and an egg side by side: "Oh, we get to choose, everyone, there are three options. This one is an egg—oh, I'll take the egg."
  • A reward lying on the ground. After wiping out a wave, other players simply walked over and grabbed it: "What's in here as a reward? There's an egg... Nice. I got an egg," and "I picked up the egg from here."

The reward is not always an egg. The same sessions saw an owl, a turtle, money and even a skeleton offered instead, so expect to clear a few stages until an egg shows up. It doesn't take long in practice — two of the three recorded runs picked up multiple eggs within a single session.

Getting your first egg, step by step

  1. Fuse a hybrid. Pick a father and a mother from the animal list and the game creates the hybrid for you — the first one in the recordings was cheetah plus fox, the six-star "Chefox." Once you own a hybrid, the game points you onward: "It's telling us to go to the jungle... Choose a hybrid for the jungle." If you're at the very start, the beginner guide and the fusion guide cover this part in detail.
  2. Take your hybrid into the Wild. This is the combat zone where stages are fought. The Wild guide breaks down the zone itself.
  3. Fight through the stage, one enemy at a time. Enemies block the path in sequence: "we can only move ahead if we fight them one by one." Heed that — one player who took on two enemies at once called it "a huge mistake." For tactics, see the battle guide.
  4. Beat the stage and claim the reward. Select the egg if you're given three options, or walk over and grab the egg dropped after the fight.
  5. Got a creature or cash instead? Keep fighting. The egg offer repeats across stages, but it is not guaranteed on any single fight.
  6. Place the egg in a free pen slot. Eggs live in your pen alongside your hybrids. If every slot is full, remove an animal first — one player cleared out a four-star hybrid because "our slots are already full... Only then can the egg be placed." Pen upgrades are the game's stated way to grow your collection when you keep running out of room.
  7. Watch the hatch timer. The placed egg shows a countdown and opens by itself — 17 seconds for a common-level egg, about a minute and a half for an 11-star egg in the recordings. What comes out is already a finished hybrid ("Oh, it fuses them for us, guys"), which is your confirmation the route worked end to end.

Eggs cost nothing to claim or place. The real investment is a hybrid strong enough to clear stages and a free pen slot to hatch them in.

Eggs documented in gameplay

Common diamond eggReward after defeating jungle enemiesOpened first, with "only a few seconds" leftCheetacrab

11-star eggTaken late in a run, when the player couldn't reach the next stageAbout a minute and a halfDragonfly-human (comes pre-fused)

These four are the eggs documented in gameplay footage; each outcome is simply what hatched in that session, not a fixed result table. The full set of egg types and tiers isn't known — the eggs list is the place to browse what's catalogued.

Do harder stages give better eggs?

One player reports: "The rewards get better as the stages get harder." Within that single run he took a common-level egg from an early stage, then grabbed an 11-star egg much later — at level 500, with his health nearly gone and the next stage out of reach: "This is an 11-star egg, but it comes pre-fused, I don't even know what it is." It hatched into a dragonfly-human he called stronger than everything else he owned.

Treat that scaling line as one player's observation from one run: pushing deeper into the Wild is the sensible way to hunt for better eggs, but no drop rate or guarantee is documented.

Once your egg is placed

Acquisition is done at the moment the egg sits in its pen slot with the timer running — the hatching guide takes over from there. Remember that eggs are only half of the game's two paths to new hybrids: "you can get animals with eggs or you can make your own fusion," so if a hatch disappoints, head back to fusing — the guide to fusing hybrids shows how. The Wild rewards fighting in other ways too; rescued animals are a separate prize, covered in how to rescue animals.
